This is the first release of this map. (release 1.0 ill call it i guess)

This is a sky block map that has four islands: the main SkyBlock island, that has a starter chest and a teleport to the lobby island, the trading island which has custom villagers to trade with, and the sand island with cactus and another chest.

There are rules, tips, and challenges in the books in the starter chest!

This is the first version of a sky island map I've made, and I'm currently using it on my own server to the enjoyment of my friends. It is quite large, although I have admittedly not taken measurements, it is larger than a fully zoomed out minecraft map. It features most biomes and several of the standard structures.

The island structures were first generated in MC Painter, then imported into the map as schematics using World Edit and flipped upside down to create the bases of the islands. I then used World Edit to sculpt the surface of the islands.

The map type this was generated on is superflat with bedrock on the bottom layer and 32 layers of water above that to avoid the air-below-32 lighting lag glitch.

There are a few less noticeable biomes that are missing, such as the slight variations of some biomes (e.g. hills versions of biomes), but the landscape over all is varied. Another thing worth noting is that I didn't pay enough attention when generating the islands bases and the resource distribution is at 50% (i.e. half what it normally is), although you'll find every ore on every large island. For some reason slimes also refuse to spawn in the swamp biomes. Also worth noting that it lacks a Stronghold.

I plan to make a second sky islands map for 1.8 with the above issues fixed, but for now, I hope you enjoy this map I've created!
