There is a village in a desert at x -950 z -1200. Three villagers. A few empty houses because doors are missing. It's hard to get here by land. If you go south/west by boat you will get lost in a swamp, but boat straight west around a jungle to find the desert.

Also a plains village at x 60 z -1560. Just three villagers again, but a blacksmith with a saddle in the chest and about 30 horses/donkeys to choose from. Nearby around x -860 z -1200 you will see a 5x5 hole in the sand, there is a spawner just a few blocks down with two chests, one gave me 4 saddles, so now i live at the horse village and have a ranch/base there.
