Do this instead. If you don't have 7-Zip downloaded in your computer, I prefer to you to download it now. It has no virus or something that does to your browsers(Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) Once our done downloading it, go to your .rar file. Right-click, 7-Zip, Extract to "world3\" something like that. Then wait for it to extract.. After you extract you can see the folder world3. Open it and you can see another folder. Named Jurassic. Copy or cut the folder then go to start. Type %appdata%. It will open a folder in Roaming. Double-click .minecraft. Go to saves folder. Once your there, you can see your made worlds. So there, you can paste your Jurassic folder and close all of the folders and start Minecraft.(You don't need to close all folders.) If you want a resource pack or texture pack, do the same thing. Extract it, type %appdata%, BUT! You will not paste it in saves but in resourcepack folder. Before you paste it, open the folder first and look if it has something like texture folders, etc. If it has pack.mcmeta, copy or cut the folder before that folder then paste it on resourcepack folder. I don't know the shaders yet so I can't teach you that.

how do you manage to get speed boost in the map without a beacon?

You need to unzip the file. If you are using Windows you might have to download WinRar. If you are using Apple you should just need to rightclick. After that drag it into the saves folder of .minecraft. Google where it is for your computer. Hope this helps :D
