Feedback would be appreciated
This map includes a south beach inspired strip, a giant sand castle, a tree house, a sky-scraper, a sky mansion, several cannons, 2 mob farms, a mob sorter, as well as quite a few neat redstone devices and a well developed rail system. The haunted house has a secret switch behind the front door to access the lab. Also beyond the underwater tree farm I made a giant mushroom town. (small town, big mushrooms) If you play with Mo' Creatures I have quite a few stables. This is my one and only map, I have deleted every extraneous file I could to make this a small download, and have tested it on vanilla to satisfaction on 1.7.3.
It's not the best design, I'm afraid, but at the time I built it, it was fairly modern techniques. I wasn't building for efficiency as much as I just wanted a lot of floors of darkness to soak up spawns so that my town would be spared above ground. Then as time went on I got bored, and decided to make it so that I could dump a bunch of mobs into the 'bay'. Unfortunately it's a little too deep, and I actually only see production from 3 of 4 floors when I'm down there, the top floor, which is the biggest, doesn't see many spawns cause it's too far from me. The lowest floor of the farm actually has grass I tracked down to it so that it could be a passive mob farm but I decided I hate that idea, and took all the torches out. Expect to see a new map from me after 1.8 with similar concepts but (hopefully) more refined, most likely with a greater priority on 'flooding' the town than protecting it, as it makes the game a lot more fun. Also probably going to go medieval theme, as rock holds up much better to creeper attacks then wool or wood or glass.
ps: your map is awesome :D
