I love Ancient Sumer. Here is my map of Mesopotamia. I do not condone the use of any structures in this map. This includes copies of similar structures in other maps of mine. I have decided to add Jerusalem and Cairo to areas of the map...because I love the tedium of generating land. (My McEdit won't make new chunks).

The Center of the City has a gigantic ziggurat to Enlil. A large one to Inanna and a tiny one to Ninshuber, Her handmaiden. There is one to Ereshkigal and then a Temple/ziggurat to Inanna again. Across from this is the ziggurat to Enki, lord of the Absu, which is across from the Enlil Ziggurat again to the West.

There is a large Palace, a number of market areas and a huge school/university on another of the hills. Beneath this hill is a temple to Tiamat. The waterfront is extensive. There is a sizable prison. I am especially proud of my Gates of Ishtar (Inanna).

Compatible with Minecraft 1.8 to 1.10.

This map is dominated by a vast desert. The spawn is located in the real world Iraq, where the two iconic rivers of Tigris and Euphrates is unified into Shatt al-Arab. It also features swamps in the middle of the desert. In the northern part of the map, the deserts transits into plains and forests. The map extends from the Persian Gulf in the south, to the Caspian Sea in the north-east, to Armenia at the center north. This is a good map for recreating the ancient civilisations of Babylon and the Sumer civilization 5,000 years ago. This map is also good for survival multiplayer maps, where the rivers would be the only source of water in the desert.

The World of Babylon 61M

UPDATED June 2 2014 My passion for Ancient Mesopotamia and the discovery of MCEdit has resulted in this ongoing project.

In this Mythological setting Eanna is the Capitol city of Sumer. She was built on the world of Babylon. Cross the bridge and throw the lever on one side of the Gates to enter.

Somewhere in the city is hidden the Temple of Tiamat, the Beast. Within is a portal to the Abyss. Finding the lever to the secret panel will be a challenge.

Please note my Sumerian Mythology has a fair sprinkling of Thelemic elements.
